Asteroid named for Mister Rogers
Spacey, yes, but I also think it's pretty cool.
Imagine the impact this man had, through the virtues of integrity, safety, pursuit of excellence, and the gift of creative communication to a select audience.
It makes me think, you know? Not the asteroid, no, but the knowledge that one man made such a difference and became a cultural icon through doing what he thought was the best thing.
I don't think I am aspiring to icon status, but I do hope that I will mature as a writer who can touch people as well as Mr. Rogers, within the sphere I have been given.
Even if it's just for Cyclone and Scooter...I'll feel as if I have done a good job.
