"Immediate Fiction" by Jerry Cleaver
This book helps you understand the key elements of fiction and apply them immediately. Don't confuse "Immediate" in the title with writing fiction quickly. It's not that at all. Rather, it's a writing course with tons of illustrations and practical application that gets you started writing quickly, it's not about completing a 300 page novel in two days or less. It's one of the better books out there about writing fiction, or writing anything for that matter.
